Graham Norton hosts the search for a new Maria Von Trapp to star in the West End production of The Sound of Music. Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber sets out on the unenviable task of trying to fill the wimple of Julie Andrews. Who could possibly be a nun in training, a governess, a will-o’-the wisp and a singing sensation? But in a twist, rather than pick their new leading lady themselves, the panel and Lloyd Webber let the viewers select the winner.

Blogging away!!!

Well it’s exactly one year to the day since this Blog’s Birth! I started it before I went into the Maria house as a diary because my memory is so atrocious that I really wanted to document everything. I didn’t want to forget anything from my incredible ‘Maria’ experience - little did I know it would be still going strong a year on! Thanks to all of you who check it out - I really hope you’ve had a good giggle at the photos etc. and thank you also for your comments which always make me smile and make my day! What a year it’s been hey?

I never could have imagined I’d be part of the 21st cast of The Phantom of the Opera in London’s West End! (Check out the photos!!) I’ve met some absolutely wonderful people who will be lifelong friends and I’ve learnt more than I ever could have hoped!
I’ve also bought my first flat which was a huge achievement and I am so happy here. :D

Have no idea what the next year will bring….I have decided to leave Phantom, so I’m looking for work from September. For me, a year in show, even Phantom, is long enough and creatively I need a new challenge. So, bring it on!!!! Any ideas??! ;)

What a night! I can highly recommend the Tiroler Hut (W2) for all things Austrian where me, Connie and the Marias partied the night away last night! Schnapps, schnitzel and extraordinary cow bell playing….Teamed with karaoke and a free bar it was a toptastic evening. So great to catch up with the girls!Good Luck to Siobhan who starts Grease rehearsals today and to Helena for her tour of South Pacific! x AND - Congratulations to Paul Potts for his success on Britain’s Got Talent! Worked with Paul at Uni when he played Monostatos in our production of ‘The Magic Flute’ - will have to dig the photos out! x
